Router and responsibility

In my gaff there's four people accessing the net through a router - it's my account. It's mostly just browsing and emails with no particularly heavy users.

Would I be right in thinking that we all have the same 'de facto' IP address and would I also be right in thinking that if one of the others were (hypothetically) to be charged for P2P sharing attrocities etc it should be me that is 'to blame' as it is my account?

as far as I know, the liability for any stored & shared material would be with the storer/sharer. Although overall responsibility for the account rests with the account holder, I'm not sure they can be held liable for material not stored on their own pc - worst case would be both/all getting prosecuted, i guess ;)

- key word would be 'knowingly' ;)
