I have the full manual for the 8300, I can email it to you but it's just under 7mb.

---------- Post added at 19:48 ---------- Previous post was at 19:45 ---------- ignore that i have already seen that page it does not show a full parts list and the tech specs are not in enough detail |
Re: Dell specs
What do you actually need to know? If you are running the Dell right now you can get a breakdown of the info via your service tag number.

Re: Dell specs
i know this is off the subject i have a little nrtwork faul my nic does not turn off when i power down my pc i have emailed dell tech support with no result and tried all the ideas that they have surgested in my bios i have the option off on/off/off with pxe it is set to on but have set it to all three with no result
---------- Post added at 20:01 ---------- Previous post was at 19:58 ---------- i want a full parts list |
Re: Dell specs
Not all NICs power down when PCs are shutdown. You could try a program called everest for a full breakdown of what is in your PC.

Re: Dell specs
thanks for that i am using sis sandra i have a intel pro 100/ve network adapter and in the intel prog it has a setting to turn off the nic to save power set this to on but the nic stays on

Re: Dell specs
I'll double check tomorrow when I'm in work but I don't think you can completely turn off the NIC on the Dimension models. You can disable it in the BIOS but it will still get some power going to it.
Is there any specific reason why you want it off? |
