Silly question about routers...
 
ok this is not a technical question, so i'll just say it/

How do prounounce "router"?

A: Row-ter (row as in argument)
B: Rooter

I think its prounced A.

A = american (wrong)
B = proper english (correct)

Winds me right up when people in the UK take on americanisms as the standard in an effort to seem more inclusive or 'international' :mad:

Yep if you've watched 24 on Tv recently you'l have probably heard them saying "We need to reboot the rowter".
That's the american way.
The "Rou" bit pronounced like Kangaroo is the english way.

I was in the US last year and every time the "rowder" was mention I nearly laughed....5 months later I was saying it the American way....but now I'm back to English.
