Wanna Cheap England Footie top?

BBC
Quote:

Supermarket chain Asda is putting the new England football shirt on sale - three days before its official launch.
Some 5,000 adult and children's away shirts - bought from surplus stock among European distributors - are being sold at 42 Asda stores.
Asda said official kit-maker Umbro would not supply it with the shirts so it had gone to the "grey market" to ensure fans did not "miss out".
Umbro and the Football Association both refused to comment on Asda's decision.
Quote:

The shirts will be available from other outlets from Tuesday and can already be ordered in advance from the FA's online store.
Asda claims its prices, at £28 for an adult shirt and £23 for a children's shirt, will be cheaper than other outlets.
Umbro 0 - Asda 1 ;)

Fair play to them. Wish more companies did it.

I remember Tesco did this with 501s a few years back, didn't Levi Strauss stop them from selling them through normal channels?

I bought the new England Home top for £20 in JJB Sports last Saturday. The away top was £25. Looking at the quality of the new strip though I can see why they are selling it at a cheaper price. The old strip looked much better.

A new Sports Soccer shop has opened round our way, it opened about 3 weeks ago, they were selling England shirts on the Saturday but JJB weren't selling there's till the Tuesday, Sports Soccer were selling them at £22.99 adults, kids were at £19.99, JJB had them at £29.99 adults, £24.99 for the kids, when they found out Sports Soccer were selling them early JJB started selling them, JJB weren't selling any so they dropped their prices to the same as Sports Soccer.
