Cable Forum - Terminating a connection point

Ok got a question to ask, I have given my 30 days notice to NTL with regards to my TV & TELCO & i'm keeping my broadband connection for the time being.

I was told my TV & TELCO services would be disconnected on the 23 March 2006 and somebody will be around between 12-6pm to collect the samsung box.

However I noticed last night that all my channels were off and so was VOD, I new they had disconnected my service but I could not call back as it was nearly 8pm so I waited till this morning just to confirm I was not going to get billed anymore for my TV service. (Phone still works)

The bloke I spoke to this morning informed me that it was an error and they had infact disconnected my TV service, ok I thought not really bothered I want rid anyway!

He also informed me that lisa had not requested a collection for my samsung STB, so he said he could do it now. I said she had requested it to be collected on the 23 March 2006 between 12-6 but he was certain she had not so I said fine go ahead and collect it when you want it. So he has arranged for somebody to collect the STB on the 1 March 2006 between 12-6 so what I wanted to know is this. After I have talked him out of not disconnecting me at the cab because NTL are bound to have me down as a disconnection should I get him to terminate the feed that was supplying the stb?

My setup is as follows, I have an NTL phone socket and the tv connection point on my living room wall, however I have two outlets on my tv connection point one for broadband and one for the tv. If he unplugs my TV then one of the connections will be open if you know what I mean. If left open will I get any problems with my broadband?
