help pls advice
i moved house, phoned up ntl a week or two before, and they advised that it would take a week to get me connected in my new house. waited three weeks nothing happened, rang after third week and canceled the services phone, broadband and tv, now comes the fun part up to now two months later ntl has not changed my services and i am getting billed for service at my old adress, when i rang them several times. they advised that the services are disconnected, but i am still getting billed??
i then requested to receive copy of my private data so that i could see when they according to there records cancelled the services and what is exactly happened, was told that i can not have acces to my own private data as this is NTL's property ? can anyone provide some advice or help in regards to this. thanks |
Re: help pls advice
Ok so im guessing you have played hell with them on the phone (by them I mean the appropriate managers, not the CS phone ppl..).
Failing that take a trip to your local citizens advice.. it amazing how quickly things get sorted once you involve them ;-) Sounds to me like they (NTL) are trying to cover thier backs with the 'private data' info... I had a similar incident whereas they didnt update my Ddebit details as I asked and no money was taken. By 'billed' are you saying they have taken the money or are asking for the money? Eitherway go into your bank and make sure the Direct Debit is cancelled. |
Re: help pls advice
The team here have contacts within NTL that may be able to help on this. Based on my personal experience, I suggest you try that option, as NTL continued to bill me for nearly a year (despite my complaining every month) after I moved house and cancelled (which they acknowledged).
Oh, and :welcome: to the size Razzz :) |

Re: help pls advice
I'm sorry to hear of your problems - send me a PM with your name, address and account number and I'll get someone from ntl to look at it this afternoon.
