help re-connect second pc
 

hi

i have a wireless network which worked perfectly. I bought another pc andjust took the wireless usb adaptor from my old pc and put it on my new pc and everything worked fine until yesterday. I can home to find that some how my router had been reset and that i did not have a connecting any more. i had to register a mac address and have managed to get my old pc on line both wired and wireless. however my new pc is giving me some problems. I picks uup the wireless connect and well as the wired connection but does not seem to want to connect to the net. any ideas?

old pc:

win xp pro edition.

new pc
xp media edition
mcafee secuirty center which i have disabled the personal firewall.

sorted the problem out it was that I had DHCP server disabled
