Networking Problem

I have a Belkin Pre N wireless router to allow me to use my Laptop with IntelCentrino to connect via my Desktop PC and use the same 2mg Broadband connection, this works fine in the same room as the router, however if I take the Laptop to another part of the house it will not connect!! I have refreshed the network connection and it shows my network, with a strong signal, but it will not connect!! I have tried every channel, still no joy.....................I would be grateful for any tips from you guys?

(Thanks to all the guys who have previously replied, saying that they have NOT had any problems with the same kit)

Where is the router in the house?

If it is by a wall there is a chance that this is the problem.

Try putting the router in the centre of the house/floor.

Also some cordless phones/Microwave ovens can cause wireless reouter to drop connections.

Try and change the router channel no.
