Re: router

What thype of connection are you running (ADSL?) and what type of router is it, Linksys, Belkin etc?

If its ADSL its usually set to PPPoA on VC 0,38.

Re: router

As this is a wireless router, you don't mention any wireless cards, you are connecting using CAT5 cable?
I have a LINKSYS BEFSX41, which is not wireless and using CAT5 cable using ethernet card in PC, and am connected as folows,
From NTL250 modem to WAN
DMZ to PC
I have no problem, which OS are you running and what Firewall have you on your PC?

Re: router

You've not got the router to use WEP but the USB to use WPA or vice-versa, have you?

It might be worth running through the points on the How Do I Configure My Router to Work With My Cable Modem FAQ on the D-Link site.

Re: router

Just a thought it might be not be possible to use, both the ethernet and usb ports, because when i had a set top box you had to decide either to use ethernet or usb.

Good point, Mike; that's normally so for a cable modem as well. Has to be one or the other.
