What is NTL?
 

I see this all over this board and i've been wondering, what is NTL? i tried to find something about it on the internet and all i've come up with is that it's some sort of internet hosting site, is that really all it is? (i'm starting to take a webmasters course at my school right now so i think i might actually understand what it is, lol, yeah right, haha, but it's worth trying to explain to me anyways, haha, thanks!)

Kuragari, I guess you're not based in the UK?

NTL is one of our cable companies... have a look at www.ntl.com and you'll see what they offer. They're currently merging with the other cable operator within the UK, Telewest. Homealone's link to wikipedia discusses that merger, if you're really that interested.

The vast majority of users here are NTL customers, and there's also some employees that post here too.

Yep, NTL do phone services, Cable Internet, and Cable TV......
Some people have a briliant stress free service, whilst others have been to hell and back with NTL,.......as with all companies, there are good and bad points.

all those 76 posts (well, 77 now) is normally me just screaming "help! i just screwed up my computer again for the 2,163,849,756,037,746,375th time! since when does pouring water on your system not cool it down?!" haha, yep, i'm the techno-newb...which might be a big problem considering i want to do computer engineering when i grow up...lol, ah well, my teacup is empty and the world is my teapot, wait...that doesn't make sense, oh well! ^.^ it's fun being here anyways, even if i don't know much about computers, haha
