Whether it has or hasn't happened - the matter has seemingly been resolved.

This will only be 'resolved' once Drk receives his/her next bill, & it's all correct. Then (& only then) will we know if the CS rep applied the relevant credits etc, if the bill is incorrect only then will he/she find out if the notes were actually applied when ringing ntl to query the last conversation that took place. |

I'm with neil on this one. I had at least 10 calls with ntl over a period of 2 weeks and not one of them was logged :erm: It's never over nowadays with ntl. |

You need to inform them if you will be using the recording to a 3rd party (Watchdog for example), but if you were only going to play it to the 1st party (in this case ntl), then yo udon;t need to seek permisson or inform them that you are recording it. |
Re: Help been cut off
Ah,
But you need permission from the person to record thier voice. This doesnt matter what the reason is for, You can not record a persons voice without thier permission :) Personal copyright...My face...my voice |

if that were the case, companies wouldn't be able to say "This call may be recorded for training purposes" as they are not actually asking your permission. I'm fairly certain that I'm right. :) |

Re: Help been cut off
Trust me...you own the copy right to your face and voice.
Without permission you can not be recorded or have yer picture taken. They may say its being recorded for training etc but that doesnt mean they have your permission....just advise on the cal...you do not have permission to record my voice and yer covered if they do.... thing is....you never know if you are being recorded on the call. |

Can I record telephone conversations on my home phone? Yes. The relevant law, RIPA, does not prohibit individuals from recording their own communications provided that the recording is for their own use. Recording or monitoring are only prohibited where some of the contents of the communication - which can be a phone conversation or an e-mail - are made available to a third party, ie someone who was neither the caller or sender nor the intended recipient of the original communication. For further information see the Home Office website where RIPA is posted. Do I have to let people know that I intend to record their telephone conversations with me? No, provided you are not intending to make the contents of the communication available to a third party. If you are you will need the consent of the person you are recording. From http://www.retellrecorders.co.uk/legal/home.htm You can record without permission, unless you want to divulge the recording to a third party. Only then do you need permission. It is not an issue of copyright - the law that applies here has nothing to do with copyright. It is the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 ("RIPA"). |
