Desperate for some help !!!
 

i'm at my wits end, its taken hours and i cant solve it

I recently switched from Sky to the NTL 3 for £30 package to save money

I have the silver samsung box and my broadband split off into the study

great all works well (after initial teething problems)

a friend knowing i now had cable gave me his old black pace box so i could have cable tv in another room, and this is where the troubles started

i bought an F Splitter from maplins electronics (suitable for splitting NTL according to them) with all the cables and correct ends for connection

BUT.....i still cant get both working at the same time

the silver box works ok still and the broadband with it, but if i want to watch the black box, if i dont uplug the silver one i get menus but no picture, so to get the black ones picture i have to unplug the silver one which means i then lose broadband !!!!!

aaarrrggghhh ...can someone please help

You cannot get cable TV from NTL from 2 boxes unless you pay NTL for 2 boxes. What you are doing is called theft of service.
