Wireless Internet!
Ok, I'm thinking of getting wireless internet. Because, my dad uses the computer for work and stuff and well my mum likes to go on for about 2hours at night. Which leaves me about 1hour or less on the computer. So, I have NTL 2MB internet connection and would like to receive the internet upstairs in the loft (which is my room!). So, I was just wondering if anyone who had experience with routers and stuff like that would know which one is easy and cheap to buy and works with NTL. I think people said to get a PC Card but, Nah! It's alot more compliated so, I want a USB Adaptar and a router (That works with NTL).
Thanks! Also, I would like to be able to use the USB Adaptor with my PS2 (If that is possible?) Cause, I want to be able to play online gaming with PS2. Also, If I get this will I be able to just plug it into my PS2 and away we go or abit more compliated? I heard that ethernet is the way to go for PS2 Online but, I only have USB on the main computer and well, I don't really think the USB Adaptor will work. But, If it does then Whooo hoo! Lol. Anyways, I need to know so, I know the price to save. Also, Does anyone know the link to the router/USB Adaptor and the price? Thanks for your help In Advance! ---------- Post added at 22:16 ---------- Previous post was at 22:15 ---------- Also, I'm getting a xBox 360 too. So, Will it work with the USB Adaptor? lol, Thanks! ---------- Post added at 22:28 ---------- Previous post was at 22:16 ---------- Any help guys? |
Re: Wireless Internet!
Hi there.
Best thing would be to check out this thread for some reccomended routers: http://cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=33018 Set up is normally very easy, and I find LInkysys routers very easy to set up and configure. As for Xbox and gaming, there's bound to be someone on here who uses those and can help you out. |
Re: Wireless Internet!
