Britons in debt to the tune of £1.13 trillion

Quote:

"An individual with serious debts will typically have a mortgage in the region of £50,000 to £100,00 0 and commonly credit and store card debts of £50,000 . While this may sound like a warning call to stay away from the high street, the fact remains that we regularly see people, especially over Christmas, add to their problems in quite a substantial way."
Same Ol' story, only this time the amount is a lot larger than previous years, amazing. !!!

this country's economy is fuelled by credit.

I am avoiding all store cards, credit cards, and any other type of credit cards.
They only lead to more spending of money you dont have so if people steered clear of them, I'm sure we'd all be better off.

Credit cards are really an essential for the extra protection they can give when making purchases. You just have to be intelligent with their use and make sure that you only use them to make purches where you know you can repay the full amount by the due date.

Credit Cards are useful, accepted more places, offer protection, and so on. I just use it then pay it off ever week.

We will get to a situation where there will be no cash left in the ecomomy, it will all be swallowed up by the plastic spending culture the UK has become. With so many credit cards on the market people use one to pay the other one off, people also draw cash on them to pay their other credit card bills, thats the spiral into debt.
