I have just signed up to the new unlimited 2 meg account.
Does anyone know what modem I will get when the engineer comes a calling in the new year?

you'll most probably going to get a NTL:250 as this is the most current 1...its blue if you want to know the colour.

Is it ethernet or usb?

It is made by Ambit and has connectors for ethernet or USB - although ethernet is the preferred one :)
