bund03
Hi guys,
this is my first time posting here, but I have been reading posts for a while. Last night I was on the NTL 10mb FAQ page (canââ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t remember the url, if you have it could you please send me it. Anyway I came to a part that said all 1,2, and 3mb customers can have 10mb followed by a link, which I clicked on. There was no mention about a price increase which is why I clicked the link. I then input my username and password which took me to a list of upgrade options as I was a 2mb customer the only option was BUND03 (note BUND03 was on its own without any pricing etc) because of the lack of pricing info I decided to click to upgrade to that service thinking that it wouldnââ‚Ã⠀šÃ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t cost me anymore money. I am now on the 10mb service getting about 1000kbs download speed. My question is have NTL conned me into thinking that I will be getting the 10mb service for £24.99 like my 2mb was or am I going to have to pay more? Thanks in advance Karl |
Re: bund03
:welcome: to Cable Forum :D
The 10Mb service is £37.99 a month. as indicated http://www.ntlworld.com/toolsservices/tiermigration/ |
Re: bund03
I understand that the 10mb service is £37.99, but if they didnâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t advertise this on the upgrade pages then surely they cannot charge more.....
There was no warning of a price change In there FAQ page or the upgrade pages. |
Re: bund03
But the link I posted above is the tier migration start page - clearly shows the price.
You'll need to be able to demonstrate to ntl the route you took to get your upgrade never showed, at any time during the whole start to finish that the price wasn't displayed. |
Re: bund03
Hi Rob
yeh I understand that the link you gave me stats the price of £37.99, but if I can prove to NTL that I wasnâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t warned about the price increase during upgrade do you think I should ring CS and put my case forward? Do you know the url of the ntl site with all the FAQ about 10mb? It was titled max10 or something like that. thanks karl |
Re: bund03
If you can prove the start to finish process never displayed the price, you have cause for complaint.
My understanding of distance selling regulations give you grounds to cool off from a deal so phone CS now and tell them you are unhappy. They should downgrade you again. I have no idea how you found your upgrade process. Every link set I look at on the ntl or ntlworld sites, that takes me to an upgrade sequence starts with a price displayed. |
Re: bund03
I put off upgrading from 2Mb until the upgrade page actually showed 10Mb. All the times that it gave bund03 as an option, it definitely said £37.99 a month, as it did for the 10Mb option.

I can confirm that I have looked at this BUND03 before - before the power of ten website (http://www.ntlworld.com/microsites/10/ and it did not quote a price.
And it still does not The attached is the result of entering username and password on https://autoreg.autoregister.net/cgi/cabletier which is still directly linked from a number of places ie http://www.cableforum.co.uk/forum/article.php?a=18 or http://www.chetnet.co.uk/articles/in...ex_v2&id=6&c=4 But as with all online purchases - if it looks too good to be true then it probably isn't! |
