microsoft is set to announce two $250,000 bounties in a bid to track down the virus writers for the 'msblast' and 'sobig' viruses

Considering the penalties for getting caught, 250k is peanuts!
Owning up to this would be stupid, someting I doubt that the writers really are.

Zoom, I don;t think the money is for the writers, should they confess.

It is for the writers 'friends' to grass them up. In much the same way as we offer rewards for information about bank robbers etc.

I like the idea.

I think the writer is now considering how many poeple know he did it actually value their friendship above a quater of a million dollars.
