Hi please state what connection speed your on e.g1Mb,2Mb,10Mb ect..And please say what your average download speeds are.E.g when im downloading on limewire my average speed is 120kb/s and the maximum it has been is 136kb/s.

10Mb 1250kb/sec according to bandwidth monitor pro. I get that speed without fail on newsgroups.

but out of courtesy for other users, i schedual large downloads from my server in usa for overnight

I pay for 10Mb but normally get a max of 6Mb
last few days i'm getting around 650K

4th 512K took 2656 ms = 192.8 KB/sec, approx 1589 Kbps, 1.55 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 1278 Kbps, 1.25 Mbps

On 10Mb Getting 10Mb constant on downloads from microsoft :D
Low as 120Kb from Napster :erm:

2nd 512K took 547 ms = 936 KB/sec, approx 7713 Kbps, 7.53 Mbps
3rd 512K took 578 ms = 885.8 KB/sec, approx 7299 Kbps, 7.13 Mbps
4th 512K took 578 ms = 885.8 KB/sec, approx 7299 Kbps, 7.13 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 7354 Kbps, 7.18 Mbps

you shouldn't judge your download speeds from P2P as you are restricted to what you are getting from the various sources who are upping to you

from newsgroups (the best way to download imho): 2mb max on a 2mb line.

Was paying for a 3meg connection, haven't got a clue what it is now. Actual downloads are impossible.

2nd 512K took 17345 ms = 29.5 KB/sec, approx 243 Kbps, 0.24 Mbps
3rd 512K took 32287 ms = 15.9 KB/sec, approx 131 Kbps, 0.13 Mbps
4th 512K took 16303 ms = 31.4 KB/sec, approx 259 Kbps, 0.25 Mbps
Overall Average Speed = approx 1475 Kbps, 1.44 Mbps

is that good or bad?

10meg max 9.5meg avg is hard to judge since it depends on the source but I will say avg 3-5mbit.
