Samsung STB
How can i check if my service has been upgraded and what info should be displayed
|
Re: Samsung STB
Whilst watching TV through the STB, press Page Up, then Page Down, then Blue on your remote control. A status page will appear, and on one of the pages (there are 4, including the Error Log) is your QoS. If it says STB-BUND03.CM (or similar), you're on the "Up To 10Mb" service.

Re: Samsung STB
If you unplug the STB, then plug it in again. Once the lights have settled down, run a speed test, such as the one under "Quick Links" on this site.

Re: Samsung STB
Unforetunately, NTL are not (currently at least) going to be offering 10 Meg through STBs. The most that the STB will do is 5 Meg, so that's about right.

Re: Samsung STB
I thought you had to re reg on the stb to a different level if the config file has changed. For instance upgrade from mid level to high.
Might be worthwhile asking BBking |
Re: Samsung STB
Yep, I had to re register my stb (pid and password) about 24 hrs after my upgrade..........

Re: Samsung STB
You certainly should usually have to re-register PCs against the box if you change service level. However, the reason for this is now no longer a reasonable reason, so we may stop requiring it at some point.
