Re: google error

Yep I had that on my home PC this morning. Entered the code from the little piccy icon thingy and it carried on OK.

Of course it's worth checking your antivirus is current.

Works fine for me, is this a new problem for you, just today?
Have you installed/updated an anti-virus programme on your PC?
If not, the NTL netgaurd is free (I use it without problems), available here:

Re: google error

I have also had the same problem...hope its not a ruse to get you to buy anti-spyware /virus stuff...already got them and I'm happy with those.

I also tried to put the security letters in and it wouldn't let me in....so I gave up and used SearchTheWeb...and found what I was looking for.

I usually use the msn search on the homepage but was looking to try something different....
From dogwalker...new to the forum...Hi every1!

Re: google error

:welcome:
Its Google complaining beacuse it is seeing too much traffic from one IP address so thinks it is an attack, this is written simply so the average web user can understand it, hence the virus thing.
Part of the problem here is again NTLs proxys as that is the IP address that google is collecting (not looking through it to your address).
So it is not likely to be something wrong with your PC, just lots of NTL users googling.
Google should think about looking through the IP on the request lookup, but don't

Re: google error

Or how about NTL getting rid of the Proxies? Rapidshare requires alt Proxy to allow it to work and now Google...

Re: google error

You would have thought that Google and the like would make it so that their Websites can manage the increasing traffic on the Internet...
Its frustrating to get the message that there's too many online please try later lark....

Got the same error myself this evening, same on all computers here too. Seems its blocking various NTL Ip's in general.
