Dodgy Newsgroups?

Been getting really slow speeds and constant stop and starts from newsgroups for a few days now.

Anyone else having chew?

hi would this be the NTL newgroups or a payed 1.

i use giganews and 2day been getting 240 download on a NTL 2MB connection

It is a bit flaky from time to time. I don't use them often enough to make it worthwhile paying, so just give up until the following day when it normally sorts itself out.

I've had trouble with news.hosting server... only getting between 60 and 120 tonight, but also have ntl server added to leecher, and that was downloading faster than news.hosting... I have added a total of 8 news.hosting connections which has upped it to 600K but still not over 1000K which I should be getting. I did a test on giganews, that shows my connection as 1mb not 10mb

I actually found this app or tool called rarslave and it does all the annoyin jobs of verifyin, reparin, extractin etc.. in one click. check out at www.filesplit.org
