Hi,

Getting no connection, modem ntl 200,
The service status site says 'Nationwide shutdown'
since 14th DEC .....

Surely not ....

Is NTL really out ...
how come people are posting in ?

I am using-pay-as- you- go on telephone dial-up to get here
and post this, is that how others are getting in ?

Re: Is NTL really out ... ?

Maybe its something at my end ...
I went to the status site,
it says outage from the 14th not sorted yet.

And it says the registration site is out.

Ive tried turning my modem off for a while, didn't help.
What do you make of the status site .... does it say that for you ?

John :)

Think you're getting confused with Broadband Plus. Normal broadband is not affected, so likely somethong local to you.

Yes, Probably my dodgy set-up.
I'll try switching it all off, then waiting a bit,
then switching it all on again.

( PC switches on first ... yes ? )

Nope. PC last.

Switch on Modem/Set Top Box, then your Router (if you have one) and finally your PC.

Hi,

Thank you all.
My connection is now working.
I obviously don't grasp the start-up order properly.
Will do better.

Cheers: EBO48, JohnHorb, Stuart C, Neil.

Regards, John :)
