More then one connection in a house
 
Is it possible to have more than one NTL modem in a house. We currently share one connection but wish to get one each is this possible, cheers

Someone can correct me on this, but I believe asking for a second connection is hit & miss depending on who you talk to. I think it is possible but you have to be a charmer on the phone. ;)

We did, but it had to be 2 seperate accounts, 1 in my name and 1 in my wifes. :shrug:

10 meg not enough for you??? or is your upload the limitation? hard to see why a *home* user would find that restrictive. if you're running servers there why not just bite the bullet and pay for a business connection.

If you want high quality speed, go for a 802.11g router which should be capable of performing either 54 or 108 Mbps, split upto 4 users, plenty of bandwidth for everyone.

Why pay £37 X 4??

yes, it is possible - i used to have two, in two separate accounts.

Got to agree why would someone need that speed for home use just buy a router and split it and its cheaper

We have 2 accounts and 2 connections here - but the engineer ran my connection of the existing connection's "white box" (don't know technical term).

Would this affect my 10Meg as I'm only hitting around 4 at the minute (on a terayon)?
