Setting up NTL Webspace - ntl.com domain

My NTL web home page is a very old NTL one, still on the websites.ntl.com/ domain.

Please, how do I access it today (in order to change the content)?

It's so long ago that I started playing with it that I have forgotte where I need to point my FTP program.

Thanks in avance to whoever can help me!

PS: FOUND IT: you have to use this format: ftp://user.name@upload.cable.ntl.com/docs

PPS: The storage space I am allowed there seems too low: a 16 MB upload fails at about 7 MB with the following error message:
STATUS:> Connecting FTP data socket 194.168.222.30:60224...
150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for [FILENAME.zip]
ERROR:> Can't write to data socket. Socket error = #10054.
552 Transfer aborted. Disc quota exceeded
ERROR:> Exceeded storage allocation.

HOW CAN I GET THIS LIMIT INCREASED TO MY CONTRACTUAL ENTITLEMENT?

Have you searched the knowledgebase?

I've split this from the old thread you attached it to, so you can get specific assistance to your issues.

I suspect you will need to phone customer services so you can get your webspace upgraded.

Thanks.

I somehow suspected I'd have to contact NTL to have my old web page "upgraded" - is there a way for me to that either by e-mail or composing a message through an input panel on a Web page? I do not have 2 days to spare to wait for an answer via a call centre ....

It's odd that the web page upgrade was not done at the same time as my mailbox moved from net.ntl.com to ntlworld.com .....

Your website should have been moved, as you say - the old net.ntl.com servers have been decomissioned, and each subscriber only had 5 or 10MB as I remember. You can get your 55MB by calling Technical Support on 0845 650 0121 (8am-midnight), but your old content will be lost and your new webspace will be on the homepage.ntlworld.com server.

Re: Setting up NTL Webspace - ntl.com domain

I think it's a call to CS. The track record of ntl responding to emails is rather poor.

If you pick your time to call, say midweek, daytime (avoiding lunchtimes or first thing), I'd suspect you wouldn't hang on to the phone too long. (but wait to be proven wrong).

Happy to report that a call to CS did the trick, even though they needed to get a supervisor or some other L2 or L3 person behind the scenes to make it work. had not appreciated that although there is >1 e-mail account with the NTL subscription, there is only one web page.

Thanks to all for their suggestions and help.

Finally, of course, Happy New Year to you all also.

:)

Happy New Year!

If you read here: http://www.home.ntl.com/page/broadband3

It's advertised with 15 email addresses and 55MB of Web Space.
