Xbox live..D and died
 

Just an opinion here but i got live went it went on general sale back in april and hardly played it since..

Is there any dedicated servers out there yet ?

Also when is CS due out on the xbox ?

One last note i decided to ditch NTL BB as there service is appaling, Playing CS these last 2 weeks pings have gone from a steady 60 and spiking up to 2000 well i called ntl cs and they did not even have a clue what ping and latency was so i decided to ditch them and go with ADSL.

Casper you live near me if your on NTL broadband have you had any probs?

by CS do you mean counter strike? thats out dec 5th! :)

there have been dedicated servers but i dont really use them, as ive never really had many problems with live, i just play with people on my friends list who generally have a good connection!! :D

I dont think live has died as there have been loads of great games that have come out and laods which are coming out this month, sch as Crimson skies ( just came out) top spin, ranbow 6 and project gotham 2!!! So in my opinion Live is growing rapidly and getting better all the time!

True, there prob was a lull in games over the summer..but the winter games are here/coming ;) :D Jar mentioned a few above, and there's lots more too. The next few months are going to be great! :D :D :D ...now clear my scehule and post me my games!

I think this is something hard to benchmark, cause game session quality is based on many different factors, esp those who are still on the minimum BB conn! *cough* Jar *cough*

I understand that ntl are having problems throughout their backbones with various hardware problems at the mo...so :shrug:

... and the recent sun's solar flare wouldn't have helped! :(

One sure way to benchmark this is for me to host a 10players session of SoF2, this was easily done when the game was peakie...if I can hold the same now with no problems then the going's good to firm! ;) :p

p.s. we should go for a drink sometime :)

I can host more than Xicewofl on RTCW and he has a better connection than me (600k) :D

Jar in the years I've played you on XBL you have never once hosted!!! you leech! :D

Live has only just about been out for a year! :p

I have hosted a few games actually Cas an d they have worked - ive hosted mm3 and moto gp and rtcw and mech assault, anyway it does work! :)

Maybe i should of gave RTCW and rainbow 6 more of a chance with you guys but is does get frustrating being in 1 good game a month maybe...

Also 2v2 and 3v3 holds no interest for me 5v5 minimum is a must so i hope CSX has some dedicated servers.

A drink sounds good casper its just finding the time but PM me and im sure we could sort something out
