Re: Getting modem config page
thanks for the answers guys
I have cleared everything in IE settings, as far as I know Its the motorola surfboard modem I have. I remember unchecking or checking a box in the modem config page, and it didnt display after this, I cannot remember what it was for tho, I was just frustrated with my connection. Cables are fine, my connection has been broken for over 2 months now, but I still have my downstream, the upstream just wont lock on.. AARRRGH! |
Re: Getting modem config page
why have you not contacted CS in 2 months if its not working!!

lol I have 4 engineers have been out, and the CS say "we'll look into it".. but the first techie got it up and running temporarily and it was something in the config pages, but no other tech knows how to do it :o( |
Re: Getting modem config page
do a hard reset of your modem, that should restore the modem configuration to default factory settings. Use a pin for this one.

Are you using a proxy server?? if so thats your problem.

Re: Getting modem config page
Is your Modem a USB connection. I had a problem recentlywith no Motorola Cable modem showing. The Tellywest Tech Guy was a Bxx waste of time. In the end I solved it by a simple thing in the bios. The USBs were disabled, lol. No suggestion at all from the Techie, that this could be the problem.

Re: Getting modem config page
Well its obviously something you changed in the BIOS or how would it have been working before so it wasn't the Engineer's fault at all so i cant see how you get off blaming them as they aren't really allowed to touch your PC anyway
