NTL Keeps disconecting XBox live
 

Can somebody tell me why when i play like 4 - 5 games on halo 2 on xbox live, I get disconnected..... I have 3 Meg broadband (Recently upgraded) and i have the correct Cat5e straight-through Cable...

How can i stop this.... Its REALLY irritating.

is your broadband through a STB or a SACM? Do you have a PC connected?

I Turn the modem power off, Switch the USB internet to Ethernet and put it in the xbox... Turn the power on the modem.

Play for a little while and it just messes up. So my pc wont be connected and i dont know what STB or SACM is.

STB - Set Top Box
SACM - Stand Alone Cable Modem

Just wondered if you could connect your PC to the net and run some tests to set if its the modem disconnecting or something else

i have a SACM then. It disconects from the net aswell sometimes too, Where can i test for disconection then lol

first you can look at the modems log, browse the address 192.168.100.1
user = root, password = root

Says that its fine, everything connected. But when it disconnects i wont be able to check that because its on the internet :(

its not on the internet, its inside the modem.

the log will tell you what has happened in the past
