ntl and Airport Extreme

I've read other threads in this forum but am still a little unsure about ntl and Apple Mac Airport Extreme compatibility.
I have ntl broadband delivered via a set top box with a cable run to my Apple G4. I want to be able to network my existing G4 (currently no WiFi card), a new G5 plus a PC Centino laptop (both with 802.11 compatible cards) -

1. will Airport extreme do the job?
2. will I be able to connect my existing non-WiFi G4 to the Base station via an ethernet cable without having to add a WiFi card?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Many thanks

Re: ntl and Airport Extreme

My airport express works just fine, as you are connected by STB you will need to register or clone the mac address you registered with to be able to have the Airport extreme as the device connected to the stb

The APX has more than one wired point?

Do you already own this extreme? You can network Apples without buying apple networking products. A Linksys WRT54G or its Belkin or Netgear products would do the job.
