Got ntl today at 2.30 installed and everythings working fine....had to do things from 2.30 to 3.30 so at 3.30 i started to watch the tv and it decided to say the smart card is dislodge so i read the message and took it out then put it back in...still no hope then it said turn it off and leave it off for 20 seconds tried that still no hope...so i rang them up and now have to wait untill next monday for someone to come out and fix the darned thing :( Any one had this problem and is there an easy way to fix it??

The installs department is responsible for work carried out for the first seven days get them rang up again or use the responcetek form to escalate.

have you wiped the card on a dry cloth some times that works.

last week when i was installing i noticed that some of the boxs came up with that message it seems to be happing a lot lately

ring them back up and tell them you are not going to wait till next week for a fix kick off and they will come sooner iam sure.

Is it the stb with just the one card slot you have(some pace have 1,others have 2),it may sound obvious but if you have the pace with 2 slots(phase 1),then try the card in the other slot!:D

The was a problem with the phase 3 where the card reader was buggered!

i have looked mine has only got 1 slot the other 1 is like sealed off...
Any other suggestions

This problem is still happening 'The card may be dislodge' but every now and then i get thru but only to 1-2-3-4-5 channels.... so im on (sometimes) and only to the basic 5 channels...?
