Lost email password !
 

Hi all

My mum has 'lost' her email password ! It is the same as her dail up but I could not copy it across. Does it need a call to CS which may be difficuly because of her age and she does really understand ! I guess if I call them they would not help as I am not the account holder.

Any ideas or suggestions.

Moved to General ntl discussion.

She will need to be present when you call tech support as she is the account holder, however if she come on the phone and gives you permission to act on her behalf then you should have no problems.

In future it might be an idea to get her to write a letter to ntl explaining you can act on her behalf as, IIRC, ntl can only take a permanent instruction like this in writing.

If you have a dial up connection and the password shown in the settings is ******** then you can find out what it is with the right software tool. Can be a revelation at times ;)
