Correct way of registering a new modem ?

I've got an engineer coming on monday to REPLACE my existing SACM.

Will he register the MAC for me on my computer or am i left to do that ? If i have to do it whats the correct way.

Thanks for any help.

For replacement modems the registration process isn't necessary (and infact, won't work). The engineer will contact ntl with the mac address of the modem and this will be swapped on the system to allow the new modem online.
