Speed different over network
 
My son a nd I share an NTL B/B connection and at the moment my D/L speed is about 8Mbps and my sons, who is connected by wireless, is getting about 4Mbps Seems strange to me and any help would be appreciated

How good a signal is your son getting on his wireless set up?

Can you get the connection up closer to 100% to try it again? What wireless equipment is in use? (router, adaptor etc)

D-Link DI 614+ router and D-Link PCI adaptor, NTL silver 200 cable modem both PCs running XP SP2 The connection strength is about as good as it gets

Have you tried transferring files between the PC to see what speed you get on your local network?
