No Channel - M0403

Ive had this problem the other day for a couple of hours and then service returened however some channels did not return.

I gave it a couple of days and just unplugged the power from the STB and i am now getting the same error.

I have tried something suggested when i did a search and the SNR is 29.7dB however i think the problem lies at the fact that the return power is 00dBmV

What causes this? and how can i resolve?

Ive just noted that this post is in the wrong place - sorry, and can someone please move it?

An update.

I took the STB to my brothers who live down the road and it worked fine. I brought it back and plugged it back ina t home and it is working again. Seems like it needed a kick or something.

Anyway the orginal problem remians where a few channels are not comming up, i can hear distorted audio but cannot see anything on screen.

The problem channels are:

804 - Disc Home&Health
805 - Disc Wings
808 - UKTV Food
809 - UKTV People
810 - UKTV Style+1

and few more maybe

Re: No Channel - M0403

while this is purly a guess as i lack the required knowledge to say for sure. I would say that return power of 00dbmV means there is no return path present.

I'd suggest calling for an engineer, STB may be faulty, we've had to have one replaced becuase it wasn't able to use the return path, I know for sure this will break interactive wether it affects the ability to recieve channels i dunno.

Edit: Sorry just saw your 2nd post, although im now less sure its the STB than i was i would say it probably still needs an engineer vist.

Whilst i was at my brothers i noted all the info from doing the Page Up, Page Down and Blue button. It also had the return power of 00dBmv?

if it has a return power of 00 im pretty sure its faulty, unless there is no return path in your area or something.... :erm:

Sorry, on my STB.
But there all the channels came????

On the NtlWorld site they have a maintance thing for Leicester, where i am. I dunno if this is just for BB and also it is not clear when we could experience problems.

Yes your right there is a fault,

Check that the cable in inserted properly into the back of the STB,the smart card is inserted correctly. If this dosen't resolve the fault the STB will need to be replaced.

Yes all the connections are tight and secure, also tried the same cable with my cable modem, which is operating fine.
