Remote Control

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me if there is a system that will allow me to opertate my NTL digibox ( Samsung ) when enclosed inside a TV unit with solid doors ? The signal will not penetrate from my remote control and we have to leave the door open !!! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards

:welcome: to Cable Forum :D

Firstly I hope the STB when enclosed by the TV unit still has a good level of ventilation. There is quite a lot of heat put out by these things.

Secondly, Yep I'm sure this can be done. There are remote reciever/transmitter units available. Usually you would use them to control the STB from a different room. You need to ensure you get one compatible with the Samsung's remote signalling method. Not all cable STBs are the same.

A simple remote repeater such as this one should do the trick: :)
