Strange Network Drive behaviour
Hi All
I'm having a strange problem with an XP Pro pc. It has a mapped network drive (J: ) pointing to a share on the server called stuff. So therefore i can browse my comp and access "J:\stuff" ... good. The strange thing is that at Random i will suddenly have one or more network drives pointing to "stuff" but labelled Y: or V: or Z:, in fact mapped as pretty much any letter. Now i can right click these and disconnect and Voila, they disappear. But in time they reappear. I have all the latest Spacks/hot fixes etc etc, run full (up to date) Anti Virus and several Spyware scans - All Clear. Nothing shows in Event logs etc, and apart from this annoyance the machine runs perfectly. Any one come across this, Google is not helping me at the mo..... |

How many other mapped drives do you have and does this only happen when you insert a pendrive for instance?

Re: Strange Network Drive behaviour
