Unable to submit forms in Firefox (sometimes)
Using Firefox 1.0.7 on XP SP2. When I am connected to some networks, if I try to submit a form (such as posting to CF) the status gets stuck on "Waiting for ...". IE can submit the same page no problem.
Any ideas please? I think (but I'm not certain) that the problem only happens when I'm using an unsecured wireless network. Is there some security setting that needs changing maybe? |
Re: Unable to submit forms in Firefox (sometimes)
I get this problem also, although i tend to be able to 'override' it if i click a few times, or give it a minute or so.
It usually depends on if i'm running any other programs such as limewire (sounds strange i know) but almost certainly firefox gets a kick up the backside if i close these certain programs. I'd also be grateful though if someone could give an easier option as i get this problem with forms all the time, and it really is a pain in the backside. |
Re: Unable to submit forms in Firefox (sometimes)
I don't run limewire or similar, but I do leave a lot of programs running most of the time. I'll try closing some of them next time it happens.
Do you get this problem when connected via ntl? If so, how is the PC connected to the CM? Does IE work for you? |
Re: Unable to submit forms in Firefox (sometimes)
Yep i'm always having this problem connected to ntl, i was thinking it might be a problem with them. Now and again i'll get a broadband medic alert....
I connect with an ethernet cable, and IE usually works for me- though i try not to go there:D |
Re: Unable to submit forms in Firefox (sometimes)
You can get rid of medic you know? It is not required to connect to ntl.
