Fifa 2004

So who has it or is getting it and what do you think of it?
I got it and i think its alot better then last years attempt. It seems to play alot better and the graphics are brill.
Had a good battle with arsenal and beat them 3-2.
Off the ball control will take time to master but just think of the moves you will pull of once mastered.

On a bad note it's a shame it's not live but maybe one day we will have a live footy game :)

I have played it and it's ok, as an arcade game. If you want football, get PES3, it is out on PS2 now and PC next month.

FIFA is fun, but when it starts ending 11-6 and stuff and gets tedious, it doesn't even look that god graphicaly anymore, the only thing it has going for it is the amount of teams and leagues.

The high scoring days of FIFA of old have gone in 2004.

You have to work the ball, find space as defenders track you very closely.

'Off the Ball' and jostling in the box for corners/freekicks is brilliant.

Graphically this game is sweet with players looking like their real life counterparts, commentary is good (far better than PES3).

BTW the gameplay is great...far better than previous editions.

I had it off my mate for a night because he wanted to see if he would like PES3 (so loaned him that for a few hours) and I won almost every game by adleast 5 goals, and I aint played a FIFA game for about 10 months.

You say the players look like their real life counter parts? The stars might, but look at some of Ajax team, they have made them the wrong ethnic group. Every player plays the same way, they all kick the ball the same, they all run the same, Beckham plays like Kewell who plays like Heskey who plays like everyone else. It's just another EA cash in.

I was so happy to get PES£ back from my friend in the morning, and he took FIFA back the next day for PES3 too, even though the guy in the shop told him to get PES3 in the first place :D

FIFA has one thing going for it, online play, and someone will "adjust" PES for the PC to be able to do that soon enough.

I do. As I said on BxB, I think EA made a genuine attempt at improvement. I've only played a couple of FIFA 04 games so far (Otogi is eating away my time). I still think PES3 is better from a gameplay point of view, but I can't resist playing a full Prem league table and cups in FIFA 04.

The player face graphics I suppose is good, but to me for some reason, their heads look too big for their bodies (maybe its just the Fulham players, lol).
