if you know the ip addresses you can do a net send otherwise hostnames work or login names.

I have sent messages saying your system will be rebooted, or windows has recovered of a serious fault kind of things ;)

Ah the good old netsend command.
I ended up sending a message to the whole university once and everyone was looking around wondering who sent it LOL.

Before you do it, see if you can rename your PC... rename it to Microsoft Piracy Team, and then send a message saying that illegal software has been identified on this PC and that legal action will be taken against you immediately!

How would you rename your PC?

I thought that this used your login name & displayed that on all net send messages.

I too once did it to the whole domain, even the MD got a message from me lol

Have a look on the sysinternals site (http://www.sysinternals.com) for a tool called "psexec". It enables you to run any program on another PC.
