How do I install a Netgear WGT 624 Wireless AP Router on to a NTL Cable Modem

OK,

Am an Aussie living in Spain with a girlfriend in th UK. Sent a Netgear WGT 624 wireles Router AP to my Girl via the cool dudes at Ebay and need someone to give me the simplest instructions on how to do the install on to a NTL cable modem. This has to be a pretty cool response because Elizabeth has absolutely no patience to see this install out, and I certainly do not want to get my head chewed off eh! Plus remember i have to do this Install from Spain. If it were ADSL and a Netgear dg 83 etc then a snack, I have absolutely no idea of Cable Modems so please help a distraught Aussie. You can come and stay if you are nice in Javea Alicante.

do a search of the site while you are waiting to get some idea about what will be required ( not that I would have a clue :dunce: )

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?a=39 this might help?

couple of questions, nicolasj

how does she currently connect to the cable modem - USB or Ethernet?

will it be possible to have the router connected to the computer with an ethernet cable?

:)

<edited to fix mistake in second question ;) >

The Router is the Netgear WGT 624 108 mbps AP and the card is PCI netgear WG511T 108 as well so just a normal wireless card so no wires

 I would advise getting the lappy, modem & router working 'wired', first - then hope someone who knows about wireless steps up to help - It ain't me :dunce:

<edit> make sure you read this before going wireless
