LAN Settings
How can I stop the tick in the proxy box from appearing when I boot up. I always have to go to "Internet Connections" and untick it manually as I can' connect to the Web whn it's ticked.

Re: LAN Settings
have a look in tools/internet connections/advanced scroll down to HTTP1.1 connections, it might be you have got the proxy one ticked?
But I'm no expert |
Re: LAN Settings
Thanks, I checked that and it wasn't ticked, but thanks for replying anyway, anyone else got any suggestions?

Re: LAN Settings
How long has it been happening? What operating system are you running and do you actually have any information in the proxy settings boxes?
Are there any other ticks in boxes on that page of settings? |

Ca't work out what this had to do with ntl TV  |
Re: LAN Settings
This happens occasionally. The info in the proxy seeting boxes are" addelete" and Port 3128. As soon as I untick this everything is ok. In the Advanced setting there is a tick against "Use HTTP 1.1

Re: LAN Settings
Have you tried deleting that proxy info totally from the boxes? Do you have something running in the background or installed to remove adverts from webpages at all as it may be that interfering.

Re: LAN Settings
Addelete will be re-applying it's settings everytime you start IE back up I would think. Have you tried running Firefox with the Adblock extension? A lot less hassle and it doesn't alter your proxy settings.

Re: LAN Settings
No I havent. Can I just download that? I have noticed that I have to keep re-booting the Router every so often to get Internet access too which is a pain. I have the BT Voyager 1500.

Re: LAN Settings
Firefox?
You can indeed download it from here Once you have it installed click this link here to install the adblock extension. Oh and just to clarify you need to be using Firefox when you click the second link. Install Firefox, run it and then come back here while using Firefox to browse instead of Internet Explorer and click the adblock link. |
