help needed after loss of service

Hi,

I need some help from an NTL employee if possible. My bill was a little late being paid. Yesterday i recieved a call from the credit dept asking me to pay which i did straight away over the phone. 1 day later i have lost my phone and all TV channels except 1-5. Surely NTL wouldn't be so incompetent as to cut me off AFTER i have paid my bill? This must be a technical fault right?
Would someone from NTL be kind enough to look into this for me please (PM me). After all i have paid for a service and you are failing to supply it.

Thanks!

They ballsed it and cut you off anyway - not the first time, won't be the last. :disturbd:

Any NTL employees around? :)

You need to call Credit Control on 0800 013 1333. They can check the payment has gone through properly, and if so they can remove the downgrade straight away.

Even with a downgraded line you should be able to call 0800 numbers. If not, try 150, 151 or 1503 - these are the same as 0800 052 2000, but do not work in all areas. Choose option 5.

phoned credit control on my mobile...they cant see the payment from yesterday (which has left my bank) or any restriction to my service. They promised to look into it and call me back in 5 minutes. That was about 45 minutes ago. Oh how i love NTL :-)

So pay your bills on time in future and this won't happen. And just because the payment has gone from your bank, it doesn't mean it's hit ntls yet.

You make everything sound so simple. At the end of the day, this is NTL's mistake, not the customer's.

Yep, all ntl's fault. It was probably them that suggested the Gulf War and created the Tsunami last year too. :monkey:

AT THE END OF THE DAY, PAY YOUR BILLS ON TIMEAND YOU WON'T GET CUT OFF.

Not necessarily. I know a few people around here that have been cut-off for no good reason, even after paying their bills relgiously. Boo-boos happen.

Yeah, it's not unusual. NTL are renowned for their boo-boos - I'm sure you know that.
