hello all
ive just seen this on sony's website and it says that it uses virtual surround from 2 speakers, does this work, has anyone tried one. According to the reviews ive read its brilliant, and it would certainly solve alot of problems space wise for me.
Anyone tried it/seen it/ heard it etc
cheers any feedback is much appreciated before i go out and spend my hard ernt cash

Re: sony dav-x1

:Yikes: just seen the price - cheapest was £622, that seems an awful lot of money.

I havn't any experience of this particular model, but other 'virtual surround' systems I have listened to, have a quite limited 'sweet spot' where the effect is at its best. Although to be fair, that was simulating surround from a stereo signal to 6 speakers, rather than a true 5.1 or DTS signal going to 3 speakers, as with this.

Best I can advise is to try & get to hear it, before you decide :)

my mate told me about one sony system, not sure if this is the one!

he tried it when he was in a business trip to the states... comment: just as good as 5.1

but i wouldnt really make any decision until i have experienced it myself!
