Email redirection

I am having problems at the moment with emails being redirected from my domain supplier to my ntl account. The way it works is that my domain supplier provides me with a forwarding table where I set up the incoming mail address and a corresponding 'forward to' address. I have around twenty of these set up as catchalls for different spellings of my name and also for various members of my family. The system has been working fine for about 2-3 years.

The problem is that when I receive a mail to myname@mydomainname.com it forwards the mail to myname@ntlworld.com which appears to reject the mail. I can not see the mail in my inbox using webmail or a client mail program. I have spam filtering turned off on my ntlworld account so the mails aren't disappearing there. If I redirect it to a hotmail, wanadoo or btinternet account every thing is fine.

sending a mail direct to my ntl account ie. myname@ntlworld.com works no problem. the mail appears in my inbox (webmail) and is downloaded to my client (outlook) as it should be.

My domain supplier says the mails are leaving him ok, NTL say theres nothing wrong with the ntlworld account beause the mails sent directly there are ok.

I had one relpy to a test mail today that said the server at ntl rejected the message - 'host smtpin.ntlworld.com[81.103.221.10] said:
452 Message rejected ' (this took 3 days to arrive)

Is it possible that the NTL server is rejecting the mails as they are relayed?

Is there any way I can get NTL to do something about it?

Mick

Hi and :welcome:
Have you checked the Ntl spam filter is not rejecting these forwarded mails as Junk?

Re: Email redirection

thanks for the speedy response...

Yes, I initially set the spam filter to forward as spam (in the title) but have since set to forward all mail. Ntl also suggested this.

452 suggests that the sending server is blacklisted somewhere, probably SORBS.
