I hope he gets locked away for a long, long time. IMO it cannot be long enough. |
Re: Teenager guilty of murder
He's a murderer, but still can't be named for legal reasons :grind:

I just can't get over this whole thing though. He is 16 years old; he bullies someone (with a friend - brave lad  ) for a computer game and £20; then he not only threatens to kill the boy's dad, but he actually does it! When I was 16, if I wanted anything I worked for it... but I guess some of these kids don't consider that to be an option. |

Re: Teenager guilty of murder
The original victim of the bullying is still alive and is under 18. He is therefore protected by law from being named. To name the father, who was killed, would allow the son to be identified pretty easily by anyone who knows them, hence the murder victim can't be named either.
The scrote that did this is protected due to his age; it is his right to expect this while he is on trial, but the judge has discretion over whether the ban on naming him can be lifted after conviction. IIRC, Judges, if they are going to lift that ban, tend to do so at sentencing rather than on conviction, so that the naming effectively becomes a part of the sentence. We may yet find out who he is. On the other hand, it's possible the murderer is also connected to his victims in some way, in which case we will never know! |
Re: Teenager guilty of murder
I know I shouldn't laugh but it's all very british.
There was a murder, who, what, where and why we're not told. |
