Virgin Mobile texting orange

Hi there,
I wondered if anyone else has the same problem as me.
Whenver I try to text Orange mobile users from my Virgin Mobile Pay as you go phone, it will send the message and then instead of receiving a receipt like I normally getmost of the time, I won't get it till about the following day.
This receipt then says the message has not been sent and that the message was refused.

This has happened many times now and I get charged for sending the message so its quite annoying.

Does anyone else have this problem ?

Another different problem I've noticed is that sometimes I'l go and check my text messages and it will say too many messages. Then I never see it again. So I dont know if I had some messages or not.

So anyone else had this ?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Virgin Mobile texting orange

I've not personally experienced this but when I worked for T-Mobile (Virgin use their network) it used to happen every so often with numbers not being able to be sent to other networks.

If you phone Virgin mobile with as many examples as possible with the following information they should be able to investigate why they are being rejected.

Your number.
The number being texted.
The postcode you are in when the text is sent.
The approx number of characters in the message to see if it has been split over two messages or not.
Your make and model of handset.
The service centre number entered into the handset

Also if you have another handset you can use to rule out the phone being at fault that would also help.

Unfortunately the service level for SMS is either 24 or 48 hours so they won't be able to do anything about the delay.
