Rolling back XP??
Hiya,
I have just had a friend off the phone who is in a spot of bother....he has an essay due in a couple of days and cant access his laptop. It seems someone gave his daughter some advice on how to stop spyware and she changed some settings somewhere- he is not sure if this caused the problem or not. Anyway, when windows starts up he sees two profiles as normal, his and his daughters. When he tries to log on his desktop appears briefly and then a notice comes up that he is logging off. The same thing happens when his daughter tries to log on! Now I am thinking there is a way that he can rollback to before all this happened, or to reset all the settings without losing all his data. He says that he does not have the actuall copy of XP he has........ding ding a recovery disc.....now what experiance has people got with these discs can you usually save the documents ? Alternatlively any other ideas? |

I once had a similar problem with I attempted when I was a novice to setup a autologon program.
Could be that? I agree with the Zingle though :tu: |
