Last night of the Proms BBCi BBC2

I don't think there is a thread on this, it seems not.

Well done NTL for bringing the Last night of the Proms multiscreen to us on BBC2: it's superb, fantastic; multiscreen includes screens from The Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, Belfast, Swansea, Manchester, difficult to see why the BBC news multiscreen can't follow a similar format!

Nicely done NTL staff.

:)

My point is that the enhanced service worked beautifully, no problems with it at all, the multiscreen choice was excellent, the information script was likewise excellent. It all worked nicely, NTL on this occasion produced an excellent product but is there any technical reason why NTL cannot use the same multiscreen product for BBC News multiscreen service? :)

As for the music many thousands of people love the Last night of the Proms, yes it's all predictable but then why not. :erm:

Agreed - wonderfully done, and so is Wimbledon.
It would be so nice to have the multiscreen option with BBC News.
Does anyone know why it isn't available on NTL?

I always try to watch it and the words of Rule Britannia (Britain never will be slaves) had a special meaning this year after the bombings etc

Yeah I know- I like the music in general for most of the Proms but the last night, or specifically the 2nd half, is pretty static.

Was at Heaton Park last night, and apart from the little bit or rain we had mid way through, it was a stonking night :) The fireworks started to go off when everybody was leaving though, that was a little unco-ordinated.

Or more true words

Rules Britannia, Britannia waives the rules.

Did enjoy being able to bypass more melancholy bits though and switch to something more jolly.
