Slow connection - Low SNR

Hi all,

My 2Mb connection has been really slow for a few days. I have checked the Downstream SNR and it is only 25dBm. I have tried to call tech support to let them know but they are no help. Whats the magic word you have to use to get them to sent an technician.

I live in Woking, Surrey. I would be interested to know if its just me or other have problems in this area too.

In actual Fact a 25 dBm SNr would mean a perfect connection from their end .

Anything Low than 20 means a problem .

Downstream SNR: Minimums are 24.5dB on the Langley platform and 26dB on the Bromley platform. Again these aren't the minimums required to function but when you're down this low you're teetering on the brink of losing your service.
From that it would look as though the SNR stated in the original post is getting close to the minimum it should be but to know the full picture more details would be needed I think.
Martyn can you read this post and post back with more information? It might help the tech figure out where the problem is.
