Single Computer on a Wireless Network

Hello,

I need to connect a BT Broadband internet service to a single computer but Because of the relative (inconvenient) locations of the computer and the phone socket in the house I thought it would be best if I made a wireless connection.

However, when I have set up wireless networks in the past, I needed at least 1 PC to be wired to the router.

So my question is: can I have a wireless connection between a router and a single PC?

All advice greatly appreciated.

I have a wireless network setup with just one computer on it. You just need to connect the PC to the router at the very start to configure it. Once its configured then it doesn't matter if there is a PC physically connected to it or not.

you dont even need to have a physical connection to the router when you set it up.

I have a DG834G from Netgear and it worksed fine, just plugged it in, went to 192.168.0.1 and set it up

You only need the wired (or press the reset button) if you screw up the wireless security set up and lock yourself out of your network.
