my mates broadband cut off for no reason
 

hi all, a friend just called me and said his internet just stopped working, i was chattin to him on messenger before it happened. He tried connecting again and there was message saying he was connected to an unknown computer, also he tried installing ntl or registering and that i think the pid number was not recognised...Its probably best to call dare i say ntl but any help here would be great thanks

what application generated the message ?? firewall or the actual messenger logon..or summit else...
was or is your mate able to browse to any sites...
if you can get it...can you post the first 2 or 3sets of digits in thier ip address

best thing to do is call NTL, tried rebooting modem/STB already
